Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 371 The End of the Boss Raid and the Vampire's Rise

"We did it!" Diana exclaimed in joy after seeing the notification.

"Indeed… That third stage was already too much for average Survivors. I'm actually surprised that there are others who managed to clear the fourth stage." Sandra added as she knew how difficult it was to clear those stages from the third to the last.

If not for Shane's strange weapon that was too advanced, there was no way she would be able to defeat those Zombies. She was simply too lucky!

"Well, I don't think that there's another team who can survive that fourth stage. Remember that they only need to survive for 20 minutes in that stage.

Although they will still lose if they can't kill the Armored Giant Zombie and receive a penalty, they are at least alive." Diana replied that she felt that aside from Shane, there shouldn't be any other survivor capable of defeating that towering Armored Giant Zombie.

Shane silently agreed with Diana as he also felt the other Survivors would have a higher chance of surviving for 20 minutes than defeating that Armored Giant Zombie.

In any case, he finally turned his attention to the rewards.

The fourth stage's fastest clear rewards include Master Skill Scroll, Zombie Cores, and Item Upgrade Crystals.

Shane had just obtained a Mental Clarity spell, so he was hoping that the Master Skill Scroll would allow him to obtain an offensive skill this time.

Then, he turned his attention to the last reward.

[ Congratulations! Your team has automatically become the fastest Raiders of the 5th Stage.

Each member of the team will receive the following rewards:

Golden Treasure Chest x3

Zombie Cores x900

Item Upgrade Crystas x50

Legendary Recruitment Stone x1 ]

[ Your rewards have been transferred to your Inventory. ]

[ You have completed the Boss Raid Event. ]

[ Final Reward is being calculated… ]

Ding!

[ You have received seven level-up blessings as a final reward for your outstanding performance at this event. ]

[ You have leveled up… ]n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

[ You have leveled up… ]

Shane and the others then heard the level-up notifications, and the two were truly stunned. They didn't expect that they would level up a lot!

Of course, Shane was the only one who was able to level up seven times, while the two only leveled up five times. It was perhaps due to the contribution in the battle as well.

Just like that, the two of them reached level 24!

"This…" Diana was speechless as she processed all the rewards that she had received at the same time.

Reaching level 24 was something she didn't expect at all. It was already the level of the owner of those huge Survivor Shelters they were aware of.

Sandra also felt overwhelmed by the numerous rewards. It was simply incredible!

On the other hand, Shane smiled as he knew that this would actually happen.

Although he didn't expect that he would only level up seven times, it was still something he was thankful for.

In any case, they don't have time to check their rewards as they are soon notified that they are about to return to the Apocalypse World. They only have a minute left before they get transported.

"Shane, I can't travel alone, so it might take time before I can reach your shelter." Diana immediately said. Although she leveled up a lot and gained new items, it might be difficult for her to travel alone.

On the other hand, Shane wryly smiled as Diana probably hadn't realized how potent those treasures she obtained.

"Diana, I think you forgot about the Epic Recruitment Stone and the Legendary Recruitment Stone we just received. Just activate those two, and you'll have a strong helper…" Shane reminded.

"Right!" Diana's eyes lit up after hearing this. She hadn't considered this at all.

Sandra also smiled and agreed to this.

"That's true… Now that I'm also rich, then I'll also buy an expensive pet this time." Sandra muttered as she glanced at Shane's body where the metal slime was located.

Well, the only reason she didn't have a pet was that she was previously having difficulty surviving on her own. Owning a pet was a luxury since they were quite weak during their early phase. They would only be useful once they've grown and obtained skills. Of course, that could only happen once they were fed enough Zombie Cores.

With thousands of Zombie Cores in her Inventory, Sandra knew that it was time for her to obtain a pet.

"Once again, thank you for carrying us, Shane… I will just settle a few matters in my current shelter and follow you." Sandra said.

Shane then informed them to chat with the other members of the Clan as well just in case they have questions about being part of the Eclipse Revenant.

After a few more moments, they soon disappeared from their resting area and returned to their previous locations. All the Survivors returned at the same time and here, they learned that their shelters had been attacked!

The others were lucky that their summons, recruits, pets, traps, and other defensive structures were able to protect their homes. However, those who were unfortunate returned in the middle of a destroyed shelter or worse, in the middle of the enemies!

Because of this, no one had the time to check the Regional Chat to gossip about their rewards, as they all got busy for various reasons.

In the meantime, a Survivor had appeared with a disgruntled figure in the eastern part of the continent.

Apparently, as soon as the Boss Raid Event concluded, Statham, the Vampire who had attacked Shane, managed to escape from the persistent pursuit of the Administrator.

Despite his injuries, a sly smile played on his lips. He had survived, even while being suppressed by a far stronger opponent. At level 80, evading a level 100 Administrator was no small feat. It was a significant victory for him. Even if he ultimately lost, it showed how cunning and resilient he was.

Statham took a moment to survey his surroundings, confirming that he was in a dense forest.

'I should be safe for a while…' He thought to himself.

The canopy above was thick, allowing only slivers of sunlight to pierce through. The air was filled with the sounds of nocturnal creatures, and the faint groans of low-tier Zombies echoed in the distance. Thankfully, these low-tier undead creatures posed no threat to him and hadn't noticed his presence yet.

At this point, even if he was heavily injured, he could still deal with a dozen of low-tier Zombies.

His immediate concern was to find a source of blood to recover from his injuries.

His only regret was the fact that he had lost his belt bag. He wasn't sure where he left it, and perhaps it was already confiscated by the Administrator…

"Those damn elves… I'll get my revenge on you soon…" Statham muttered as he gritted his teeth. He may not be capable of fighting them right now, but he already knew a method to be part of the "system."

"Once I become an Administrator, you'll be the first one I'll fight and remove your authority…" As he said this, he felt the pain in his body and immediately shut his mouth.

He still needs to recover. The Bloodstones in his belt bag were his emergency food… After all, his System Inventory was currently limited after entering this Zombie Apocalypse World… At the very least, he could only access a few things in his Inventory, and they did not include his blood collection.

As a Vampire, his strength and vitality were directly tied to his consumption of fresh blood. He glanced at the Zombie's direction and shook his head.

Unfortunately, the blood of Zombies was useless to him. They were already contaminated and devoid of the life force he needed.

After about half an hour, Statham's keen senses soon picked up the faint, tantalizing scent of human blood.

"Found it…"

He followed the scent trail as it guided him through the forest.

As he drew closer, the scent grew stronger, mingled with the smell of wood smoke and cooked food. It was unmistakable—a human shelter.

Whoosh~

Transforming into a bat, Statham took to the air…

His small form flew silently through the trees as he approached the shelter cautiously. He was too weak right now, so he had to be careful. He couldn't repeat his previous actions of attacking a whole castle alone.

Furthermore, it wasn't night yet. His strength was already not at its peak, so he had to consider waiting for the night before taking action.

For now, he just needs to scout the surroundings of the shelter.

Soon, his sharp eyes scanned the area for any signs of defense. The shelter was a modest encampment surrounded by a makeshift wooden palisade. A few guards patrolled the perimeter, but their movements were sluggish and inattentive.

He immediately noticed that this shelter had just been attacked by a horde of Zombies after sensing the remnant deathly aura in the surroundings.

'Perfect!'
