Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 357 Preparations for the Final Stage

The items that Shane received from the Wooden Treasure Chest were quite familiar. It was similar to the first Wooden Treasure Chest that he had found before. These ores were certainly precious, but the problem was the fact that they still had to be processed.

Unlike ingots, these ores had too many impurities, and they required a high-level refiner or blacksmith in order to use them. Nonetheless, Shane was thankful for the items he had received.

Then, he turned his attention to the Bronze Treasure Chest.

His previous Bronze Treasure Chest gave him a weapon, recruitment stones, power cores, and various elixirs that he couldn't use. Of course, those elixirs were definitely not simple, but he just didn't know their purpose yet.

It was similar to the Zombie Blood and various Zombie drops in his collection. He had collected numerous Zombie Blood, but only after a couple of months did he find its purpose in the Blood Alchemy Book.

[ You have received a 2nd Part of Broken Map x1 ]

Shane found this loot interesting. After all, it was quite different from the previous Bronze Treasure Chest.

These guns were certainly useful for low-tier Zombies, but they had to be upgraded later on if he wanted to use them against mid-tier Zombies.

"Broken Map?" Shane muttered after seeing the unusual item. He immediately checked the Broken Map, and its description was indeed a bit too mysterious.

Aside from telling that the Broken Map was mysterious, it only informed him that it had a total of 6 parts that he needed to piece together.

He then continued opening up more Bronze Treasure Chests and was able to obtain various materials this time.

The final Bronze Treasure Chest, on the other hand, gave him some melee weapons aside from the materials.

"Exploding Throwing Knives?" Shane muttered as he quickly checked it in his inventory and confirmed that they were just Rare Grades. It means that the explosion shouldn't be that impressive.

He wanted to see if he could upgrade it, and after a few moments, Shane couldn't help but smile. He was able to upgrade them to Master Grade Exploding Throwing Knives. He just had to spend 40 Item Upgrade Crystals each for that!

However, if he wanted to upgrade them to an Epic Grade, Shane had to spend another 100 Item Upgrade Crystals. He felt that it would be too much if all of them were upgraded.

Instead, Shane decided to just upgrade one of them to Epic Grade.

In the end, he had a total of four Master Grade and one Epic Grade Exploding Throwing Knives.

"Diana, Sandra… Did you also get exploding items?" Shane suddenly asked.

"Yes!" The two answered in unison after hearing Shane's question. They already finished opening all their Treasure Chests and had actually changed their clothes. Shane didn't notice that!

To his Surprise, they actually wore the SWAT Uniform that they had previously received after clearing the first stage of the Boss Raid!

The uniforms, though slightly worn, fit them perfectly, enhancing their appearance with a professional edge.

The dark, tactical gear was adorned with various pockets and straps, designed for both utility and protection. The SWAT insignia was still visible on the shoulders, a reminder of the uniforms' origins.

Diana's uniform hugged her frame, the reinforced material providing a sleek yet sturdy look. However, despite her uniform, her Hammer was still slung across her back, ready for action.

Well, her Survivor Skills were mostly related to her Hammer, so she couldn't just remove it. Nonetheless, she was still equipped with an appropriate firearm.

Sandra's uniform was similarly fitted and Shane saw her moving around with it and even tested a quick flight…

'I guess that uniform isn't as heavy as it looks.' Shane mused as she saw her pistols holstered at her sides, and she seemed very excited with her new look.

"Do they have better status effects?" Shane asked, his gaze shifting between the two.

"Yes," Diana replied, nodding. "They provide additional defense… It's an invisible energy shield that can absorb up to 600 points of damage if you wear the full set."

"Aside from that," Sandra added, "the uniforms also boost our movement speed. They're all Tier 2 Clothes, so they still have room for improvement."

Despite being only a Tier 2 set, the SWAT Uniform actually had a better defense than many other sets like Survivor Set, Scavenger Set, Miner Set, Hunter Set, and others.

Because of that, Shane curiously looked at this uniform in his Inventory.

After all, they might be better than his Mutated Python Set.

Overall, the SWAT uniform actually had seven items, unlike other sets with only 4 to 6 items. Just with this addition, Shane could tell that it was definitely unique.

'As expected from a reward from a Boss Raid event.' Shane thought as he recalled that the Boss Raid rewards from other Apocalypses were mostly nutritions or geno fluids that enhance genetics.

In any case, it would really be amazing if he was able to inherit his genetic mutations during the A.I. Rebellion Apocalypse. Unfortunately, he could only have those memories from the Sealed Memory Spheres and obtain knowledge or skills instead of physical enhancements.

'Let's see…' Shane muttered as he started examining the seven items. They were helmet, vest, pair of glives, pants, boots, retractable shield, and belt.
