Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!

Chapter 338 Noah's Mistake... Close to Death?

"Where are you going?" Looking at Wuhan moving to rush forward, Xin Yan asked with a confused look on her face.

"I should be the one asking you, why are you not going to help him?" Wuhan screamed at Xin Yan with an angered look on his face. Pointing at Noah's falling figure, he added, "Look at that, he is going to die. The difference between a Golden Core realm cultivator and a Soul Formation realm cultivator is very different compared to the previous realms."

Seeing Wuhan react like that, Ming Ye and Ruo'er looked at him as if he were a different person.

'To think that guy could befriend someone like him,' the old man thought before sighing, a warm smile appearing on his face, 'I am glad he made a friend. Maybe this is what he needs to get over her death.'

Ruo'er also thought that what Wuhan was saying made sense, but when she looked at Xin Yan, she was shocked to see a warm smile on her face.

"You are still judging Noah with the standards of a normal human being." Xin Yan chuckled as she replied, puzzling Wuhan. But her next words blew his mind. "He is no longer a human. And you do not know the difference between a human and a divine beast."

'It seems Noah did not make any mistake choosing you to be his friend.' While explaining, she thought with a relieved smile.

"What do you mean?" With the revelation of the truth, the three of them looked both shocked and confused. They had heard about divine beasts in the past, but they could not understand how Noah could become one when he was human before.

"Just watch. If someone had touched a hair on his head, I would have ripped their heads off myself by now." Hearing Wuhan's question, Xin Yan replied with a small smile on her face, but her eyes emitted a cold, piercing light that caused Ruo'er to shiver. This was the first time she had seen a gentle woman like her acting like this.

With her suggestion, the three of them looked at Noah, waiting for him to turn the situation around.

"Mission complete, subject captured!" The taller man announced with an indifferent voice as he moved to pick up Noah's unconscious body.

"Oh, so soon?" He froze, seeing Noah opening his eyes, and wanted to move back. But realizing something, his body froze….

*Woosh!*

Without looking back, he rushed into the air and turned around to see something that was not logically possible at all. Standing in the same place he once stood was his dead partner, who looked at him with a huge hole in his stomach.

"Why are you running away?" The dead man tilted his head in confusion and looked straight at him. "There is no running away. You betrayed me, and there will be retribution."

"Is this an illusion?" Not fazed by the sight in front of him, the tall man uttered coldly. He looked at the injured Noah, who still looked at him while lying on the ground, but there was a small smile on his face.

""I wonder~"" Both Noah and the dead guy replied at the same time with amused smiles on their faces. Before he could make a move and analyze the situation, he felt like he was weirdly hallucinating the past with what happened next.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

*Splash!*

Feeling the pain coursing through his body, he looked down and coughed out a mouthful of blood. In the same place he injured the small guy, a huge claw almost double the size of a human hand pierced through his body.

"I told you, You would receive retribution for betraying me! HAHA!" The dead guy started to laugh like a maniac, looking at his partner.

'The pain feels real. Just what kind of illusion is this?' Ignoring the taunts of his dead teammate, he looked over his shoulder and saw that it was Noah who attacked him. Unlike before, he was no longer injured. Not only that, but he looked in the most pristine condition he was in.

Turning his head toward the ground, he saw that the injured Noah was slowly disappearing into dust.

*Shatter!*

The world around him started to crack like a broken mirror slowly, and he watched as his dead companion also broke into glass pieces. A little far away from them, his body lay on the ground motionlessly.

But instead of the wound he gave him, his head was severed from his neck, and his body was not disappearing along with his clothes.

'Just for how long have we been in this illusion, and why isn't his body disappearing even after his death…' Several doubts and thoughts flashed through his mind as he looked at the real Noah, making him doubt the perception of reality he was currently in. He staggered back as Noah had already taken his claw out of his body.

He could not help but wonder if he was still in the illusion or not as he could not sense anything different besides the scene around him.

"You must be wondering, since when have you been in the illusion, right?" Hearing Noah's voice, he snapped out of his thoughts. "I will tell you since these are your final moments."

Noah moved closer, and the tall man whispered in his ear, "The moment you left the space was the moment you stepped into my illusion."

Hearing those words, his whole body shook in fear. Noah took a step back and was about to deliver a finishing blow, but just then the man spoke up again. "Thanks for giving me some time to do this."

Suddenly, the sun on his mask glowed, and it started to blaze as if it had come to life. The flames of the sun started to fume and leave the mask, approaching Noah and making his mind go blank. Noah's eyes suddenly lost their light as his body relaxed.

"No matter how much of a powerful being you are, you can never let your guard down in the end." Seeing the dazed look in Noah's eyes, the man muttered before reaching out to place his hand on Noah's forehead.
