Book 5: Chapter 218: Police, Open Up
“Damn it, Liz is too cute!”
Luna leaned closer to the screen, her eyes fixated on the blonde character in the center. Her face lit up with perverted excitement.
“Blonde hair, blue eyes, and this adorable loli body—she’s totally my taste. Ahhh, I wanna hug Liz!”n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
She pulled out a few tissues, wiping away the nosebleed that definitely wasn’t caused by excitement but the heat in her body. In a fit of frustration, she slammed her fist on the computer desk, her voice rising in indignation.
“Those damn game developers! Why can’t I avoid the NTR ending, even after playing this game so many times? Is there really a pure love ending? Do I have to watch the lovely Liz defiled by those horrible women over and over again?”
“No! I won’t allow it! I’m carrying the flag of pure love—Liz belongs to me alone! Those vile women should die!”
Luna’s eyes were red with determination as she navigated back to the menu, ready to delete her save file and start over.
At some point, she had changed into her previously purchased sportswear, sitting cross-legged on a chair. Her long black hair was unkempt, draping messily over her shoulders. She looked less like a noble princess and more like an addicted gamer on a losing streak.
Luna had been playing for a whole day and night.
It all began when she was drawn in by an icon on her desktop that resembled Lilith. Unable to resist, she clicked on it, becoming completely captivated by the game titled “Dragon Princess’ Redemption”. Although the content was a bit… R18, this only heightened her excitement.Watching the blonde girl named Liz being teased and tormented by various beautiful women in the game—her expressions shifting from pitifully cute to shamefully blushing, then to aggrieved and sad—ignited a fire in Luna’s chest. Her heart raced faster than it would during a big battle.
No! I am Team Pure Love. How could I enjoy watching Liz suffer at the hands of those vile women? I must save Liz!
With this thought in mind, Luna had played through twelve entire save files, yet she still hadn’t reached that elusive redemption ending.
As she lost track of time, completely absorbed in her quest, she forgot all about the mysterious mission she had been given.
Meanwhile, at the hotel front desk, the receptionist, yawning in boredom, suddenly jolted awake. Her expression shifted to one of exasperation.
“This won’t do… I don’t have time for this,” muttering to herself, she picked up the phone and dialed a number. “Hello, demon spirit? I would like to lodge a report…”

“Hehe, I’m almost there! I can feel it!”
After completing another route and changing her choices on the first few options that she was sure wouldn’t work previously, Luna sensed that everything was falling into place.
The lovely Liz had finally avoided those shameless women, and her relationship with ‘me’ was starting to heat up, as if everything was progressing as planned.
“Just a bit longer… Liz, wait for me! I’ll soon create the perfect ending that will make you happy.” Luna wiped the drool from the corners of her mouth, her flushed cheeks nearly pressing against the computer screen.
She had pushed the story to its final chapter. According to the plot, the next step was for ‘me’ and Liz to open up and talk under the setting sun, gradually drawing ‘us’ closer. Then, Liz would be touched in the deepest part of her heart and confess her feelings to ‘me.’ ‘We’ would then embrace in the sunset—a beautiful ending, complete with an extra scene that would make ‘me’ go ‘nyehehe.’
Luna could hardly imagine the satisfaction and excitement she would feel in that moment.
“All right, Liz has confessed to me. Now I just have to choose…”
Thud, thud, thud…!
Suddenly, knocks came from the door.
Luna frowned in annoyance. “Who is it?”
“Police!”
“Police? What’s that?” Irritated, she reluctantly got up to open the door.
When the door swung open, several uniformed officers stood outside. They waved their badges in front of her, then barged into the room without saying a word.
“Police! Room check! Everyone put your hands behind your heads and crouch!”
Room check? Put my hands behind my head and crouch? What were they talking about?
Luna froze for a moment and finally remembered that the police officers were the law enforcers of this world.
But why would they suddenly barge in? Is it illegal to play games here?
While Luna was confused, one of the officers shoved her. “I said put your hands behind your head and crouch! What are you waiting for?”
When the officer caught a glimpse of Luna’s face beneath her messy hair, he paused, muttering, “Why does such a pretty girl have to do this kind of thing?”
Luna shot him a cold look, feeling a surge of irritation but reminding herself to not make trouble now. Her priority now was to help Liz reach her perfect ending.
Crouching wasn’t so bad. A true princess could bend and adapt. She obediently put her hands behind her head and crouched in the corner.
“Where’s the other person?” After searching the room without finding anyone else, the police officer turned back to Luna, questioning her.
“What other person? There’s only been one person in this room the whole time.”
“Don’t give me that. How does one person carry out a deal like that?”
“What kind of deal?”
Luna was growing more confused by the second.
“Hmph, you’re really good at playing dumb. This is a love hotel—what other deals do you think take place here?”
“Love hotel?” Luna froze, recalling that the hotel’s sign had indeed featured those words. She just hadn’t paid much attention at the time.
So, according to these officers, they suspected her of being involved in some unsavory activities? A wave of anger surged within her.
“Speak with evidence. Is defaming someone’s character without proof how law enforcers operate?”
“Oh, evidence, you say?” The policeman sneered and pulled out the hotel registration form. “The person registered for this room is named Zhang Dabiao. You’re not going to tell me that you’re Zhang Dabiao, are you?”
Ah, that was the name on the passerby’s ID.
Luna felt a twinge of annoyance. She should have known that borrowing someone else’s ID could lead to serious trouble. She couldn’t exactly explain that she had taken a random passerby’s ID with her powers.
According to the usual narrative, she’d just be deemed mentally unstable.
“Forget it. Come back to the station with us first. We’ll have plenty of time to talk there.”
“Station?”
“The police station.”
The officer shot her an impatient look and pulled out his handcuffs. “Here, give me your hands.”
Luna stared at the glinting handcuffs and finally understood.
Ah, they are arresting me.
“Does the police station have a computer?”
“You still want to play on the computer?” The officer laughed, exasperated. “How about we play a game called ‘You’re Arrested’?”
“Oh, I see.”
Nodding, Luna stood up and, to the shock of the officers, sat back down in front of the computer.
