Chapter 90 Founding Of The Bro Squad
Alicarde and the trio of pervert pioneers left Malefica's office in silence, their footsteps echoing through the deserted hallway.
As they emerged outside into the warm sunlight, the tension that had gripped them inside the office began to loosen. They stood together, the sunlight casting their long shadows on the ground, each of them deep in thought.
The four of them stared up at the clear sky, the sun beaming down as if mocking their recent ordeal. They stood there, the weight of their encounter with Malefica still fresh in their minds. Finally, they all broke the silence with the same, unanimous words.
"Damn, those were huge."
Alicarde turned to them, his heavy heart lightening just a bit as he realized they had all said the same thing. He allowed himself a small smile.
"Guess boys will be boys."
The trio nodded, accepting his words without hesitation, a bond forged by their shared experience.
Alicarde looked back at the building, knowing Malefica wouldn't let them off so easy.
'Between the four of us, it would be impossible to transcribe so many lectures, and I can't ask Amena to help me—she's got her hands full already, which means I need more people to do the work with us,' Alicarde thought, his mind racing for a solution. He didn't want to burden Elizalina she was busy too, and Anne's duties as class rep made it unfair to ask her as well.
Seeking to distract themselves from the looming punishment, the enlightened gentlemen who valued culture over their lives decided to head to a restaurant on the university grounds.
It wasn't far from the faculty—a fast-food chain with a casual atmosphere. They found a large round table big enough to seat seven, and as they sat down, the silence from before returned, each of them lost in contemplation over what they had just gone through.
The restaurant buzzed with the chatter of students, the smell of fried food filling the air. The table they sat at was a bit secluded, giving them the privacy they needed after their ordeal. As they sat in silence, a young man with dark hair styled in a slick comb-over entered the restaurant, followed by a green-haired young man carrying a camera.
Liam noticed Alicarde and the trio sitting around the table, their expressions solemn and brooding. He turned to Marcus and signaled for him to start recording. Marcus, understanding the cue, adjusted the camera and went live, the red recording light blinking steadily.
Liam approached the table with his usual swagger and sat down without saying a word. Marcus followed suit, positioning himself so that the camera captured the entire group, including himself. The young men around the table sighed in unison, the weight of their individual troubles almost palpable.
Liam's troubles were of a different kind. He was still suffering from the social aftershocks of what Alicarde had done to him the day before. And frankly speaking, he felt guilty and wanted to get it off his chest.
His followers had also been incessantly bugging him to feature Alicarde—the mysterious, charming guy—on his channel. But the viral video wasn't the real reason for his depression.
His father, a tycoon and politician, had somehow seen the video and had a minor urge to disown him for shaming the family with his pathetic display.
It was only because Alicarde, who had nearly ruined him, had paid for his own meals that his father hadn't done more than scold him. The weight of his father's disappointment hung over him like a dark cloud, adding to the pressure he was already under.
This was why he had come to the restaurant, and seeing Alicarde here was purely a coincidence. But with most of the other tables occupied, he had chosen to sit here—he didn't want to sit with unfamiliar people, especially those who were not richer than him.
"Ehmm, boss, now what?" Akimitsu asked, paying no mind to Liam and Marcus, who had just joined them.
He didn't know much about Alicarde, so he guessed maybe the mysterious young man actually had guy friends and not just women. After all, Akimitsu himself had chosen to follow in his footsteps, there had to be another guy out there with discerning eyes who would do the same.
Alicarde, still frustrated by the whole situation, couldn't help but inwardly blame these bastards for his misfortune.
He sighed, "Huh… we suck it up and do it. Luckily, this isn't my first beef with Malefica."
Marcus, who had the camera rolling, was streaming live. The viewers watching were already flooding the chat with comments.
Liam, still in the dark about the whole situation, asked, "Dude, what did you guys do, and how did you get involved with Professor Malefica?"
Alicarde gave him a side glance. "Hi, Liam. What's up? You can ask these idiots why we're having beef with a witch... I mean, a kind professor."
Alicarde was glad he didn't forget the name of the rich young master. Lucky, he had only met him the day before, but Alicarde had a small plan in his heart to solve his current problems. Calling someone you barely knew by their name was a simple psychological trick to build trust.
Liam turned to the trio, and seeing that their 'boss' was somehow familiar with him, they considered him one of the guys. The chubby blonde Felix took it upon himself to recount the details of their earlier encounter.
As Felix spoke, Liam almost passed out from laughter, especially at the part about telling Malefica. The sheer audacity of their actions had him on edge, but he couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.
Meanwhile, Marcus, who was monitoring the live feed, noticed the comments rolling in from viewers:
@GamerGuy420: "Alicarde, my dude, you've got balls of steel! 😂"
@MagicMike90: "No way... Did they really say that to a professor? Legend status! 💀"
@BabeHunter69: "Alicarde vs. Professor Malefica, epic! Can't wait for the showdown!"
@QueenBee123: "Alicarde is such a chad, taking on Malefica like that! #MadRespect"
@DarkKnightX: "Bro, if I tried that with my professor, I'd be expelled on the spot. Kudos to Alicarde!"
@MysticMage88: "This is why Alicarde is the GOAT. Dude's fearless."
@AnimeAddict12: "Alicarde is a living legend! Can't believe this is happening live!"
As the comments continued to pour in, Marcus tried to stifle his laughter. This stream was going to blow up, no doubt about it. The viewers were eating it up, and the interaction between the guys was pure gold.
"So here we are licking our wounds," Alicarde said, leaning back in his chair as he watched the group with a mix of amusement and exasperation.
Akimitsu, ever the dramatic one, stood up and placed one leg on the table in an exaggerated manner. "You should have seen the boss stand up to her. He was epic! That's why he is the GOAT!"
'I didn't do anything though,' he mused to himself.
Alicarde watched as the trio began to hype him up, painting him as some kind of unstoppable rebel who had fearlessly dealt with Malefica. Liam, meanwhile, was struggling to keep a straight face, holding his sides as he tried to stifle his laughter.
"Seriously, bro, after what you just did today, I think I'mma just call you boss too," Liam said, wiping a tear of laughter from his eye.
"The guts to say that to Professor Malefica... I mean, I'm from the Department of Criminology, but I still have some psychology electives, and believe me, she is scary."
Alicarde sighed, feeling the weight of their exaggerated praise.
"What about you, Liam? You don't look like your normally arrogant, rich prick self."
Liam ignored the jab and shrugged. "Well, yeah, so my dad saw that video of us at La Belle Époque."
"La Belle Époque?" Felix asked, leaning forward with interest.
"Isn't that the most expensive restaurant in Evergreen City?" Alec chimed in, his eyes widening at the mention of the elite establishment.
"Yeah, it is," Liam confirmed, launching into the story of how his father had seen the video. As he recounted the events, the others listened with wide eyes, clearly impressed—and a little horrified.
"I mean, I knew you were rich, but not that rich, boss," Akimitsu said, his tone a mix of awe and envy.
"You knew he was rich?" the other two chimed in, clearly feeling a little out of their depth.
Alicarde rolled his eyes, turning back to Liam. "Okay, your dad saw the video?"
"No, someone showed it to him—his evil bitch of a secretary. She even did a quick investigation, and she almost got me disowned, that bitch," Liam replied, his voice heavy with frustration and a bit of fear.
The weight of his father's disappointment and the threat of disownment hung over him like a dark cloud.
Alicarde and the boys exchanged looks of pity and quickly tried to cheer Liam up, their tone shifting to something lighter. They even tossed in some unethical jokes, hoping to lift his spirits.
"Well, if you get disowned, at least you'll have more freedom," Alec joked, though his tone was less convincing than he intended.
"Yeah, who needs a tycoon father when you can live in a van down by the docks?" Felix added, earning a chuckle from the group.
"Poverty and freedom sound so nice together" Alicarde smirked.
"At least you won't have to deal with that secretary anymore. She sounds like a real piece of work," Akimitsu quipped, trying to inject some optimism into the dismal atmosphere.
Alicarde couldn't help but smile. The way these guys talked, he couldn't help but appreciate them—they were just his kind of people, true to themselves and unapologetic about it.
Marcus, who had been quietly filming the entire exchange, finally drew Alec's attention. Curiosity piqued, he turned to the cameraman.
"What's your story? All of us here have been screwed over by a woman—what about you?"
Marcus sighed, glancing down at his phone before replying.
"Same as Liam, actually. That woman was my sister. She told our father I wasn't doing a good job looking after the young master, and I got my ass kicked." His tone was laden with a mix of frustration and resignation, clearly just as aggrieved as Liam.
"Poor guy. I have two sisters; I know how you feel. How can something so horrible happen to such a nice-looking guy?" Alicarde said with mock sadness, tears in his eyes for added dramatics.
The boys exchanged pitying looks, quickly forging a new bond over their shared miseries. There was something strangely comforting about knowing they weren't alone in being dealt a tough hand by the women in their lives.
Marcus glanced back at the comments on the live feed, which had exploded with a mix of opinions:
@ShadowFang: "Liam getting disowned? Damn, that's cold. Stay strong, man!"
@CursedJester: "Alicarde's the boss for real. We need more guys like him in our lives."
@RichBoy92: "La Belle Époque? I wish I had those problems. #RichPeopleProblems 😂"
@GlamGoddess: "That was funny! You should check out the previous video... PS, marry me Alicarde."
@QueenOfChaos: "Honestly, I'm dying at these stories. These guys need their own show!"
@BigMouthGamer: "Camera guy got ratted out by his own sister? Talk about betrayal! Keep your head up, man."
@WickedLord: "I'm loving the camaraderie here. Misery really does love company!"
@IceKing21: "Alicarde is the MVP today. Taking on the professor and still standing? Mad respect!"
As the comments continued to flood in, Marcus couldn't help but smile. Even though they were all feeling down, at least the viewers were enjoying the show.
Their laughter and antics grew louder, drawing irritated glances from other patrons. But they didn't care. A few exaggerated gestures and childish jokes later, they finally calmed down, settling back into their seats as their food arrived, along with more drinks and disposable cups.
Akimitsu, rubbing his chin thoughtfully, voiced what was on his mind.
"We are never going to finish the work on time, are we? Professor Malefica knows that, so this might just be to make us suffer."
Alicarde sighed deeply. "Yeah, I thought so too. She let us off easy, but that's if it was just the four of us. Now we're six…"
He stood up abruptly, his expression grim. "Let's pack our bags, boys. We're so getting rusticated."
"No, boss! You can't give up yet!" Felix screamed, his voice full of desperation. "If you can't figure out a way, how will we go on?"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Shut up and start looking for admissions in other institutions," Alicarde said in a serious tone, not missing a beat.
Liam, still half in doubt, raised an eyebrow. "Ehmm, dude, are you just going to give up?"
Alicarde shot him a sharp look. "Shut up and let me finish. There is one way. Four people can't do that much work, but the bro squad can."
"The… what now?" Alec asked, clearly confused.
"Us, dude! We are the bros, and as of today, I declare the—"
Before Alicarde could finish his sentence, someone approached their table. It was the assistant class rep, Mark Green.
"Can you guys lower your voices? All eyes are literally on you right now," Mark said, sounding more annoyed than anything.
Alicarde looked at Mark, a sly smile forming on his face.
"Good to see you, Mark. Very good to see you." He quickly got behind Mark and pushed him into the empty seat.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Mark protested as he was forced to sit.
"As of today, I, Alicarde Asad, in my exalted name as the boss of this little gathering of heartbroken guys, declare the founding of the Bro Squad."
Mark was not impressed. "I am not one of you, and no one broke my heart."
"Not yet," Alicarde countered smoothly. "Better for you to join, just to be safe."
The other boys, childishly excited, immediately jumped in, bombarding Mark with pleas and reasons why he should join.
"You don't want to be left out when we pull off something epic, right?"
"Yeah, Mark, it's all about having each other's backs!"
"And who knows? Maybe you'll need us one day."
Mark sighed, realizing that resistance was futile. "Fine, whatever. I'll join your little Bro Squad."
Akimitsu, ever the dramatist, stood up again, this time with his chest puffed out. "We shall prioritize bros before hoes!" he declared in a regal voice.
Alicarde smirked, leaning back in his chair. "Depends on the kind of hoes, but yeah." His mind drifted briefly to the three beautiful women he lived with.
"It is done. We are now bros," Alicarde said, smiling as he raised his hand. He looked around the table. "Ehhh, someone say that quote from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms so it can be official."
"Which one?" Liam asked, clearly not familiar with the reference.
"Wait, hold on, let me look it up," Alec said, fumbling with his phone.
"Ahhh, found it!" Akimitsu beat him to the punch, his face lighting up with excitement.
"Okay, it's this, and I quote: 'We three—Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei—though of different families, swear brotherhood, and promise mutual help to one end. We will rescue each other in difficulty; we will aid each other in danger. We swear to serve the state and save the people. We ask not the same day of birth, but we seek to die together.'"
"Okay, what he said, but imagine it's us seven and add our names in your head," Alicarde said, nodding in approval.
"Alright, let's seal it with these cheap, fast food beverages!" They lifted their respective fast food drinks, clinking them together before downing the contents in one go.
The comment section of Liam's ' live stream was in chaos, laughing emojis flooding the screen:
@LaughingLion: "The Bro Squad! 😂 I'm dying!"
@EpicGamer: "Alicarde's got that leadership vibe. Respect!"
@QueenBee: "Bros before hoes, lmao! These guys are hilarious!"
@GlamGoddess: "My glorious king got me at 'depends on the type of hoes.' Alicarde, how could you? 🤣🤣🤣💘"
@NerdyKnight: "Romance of the Three Kingdoms reference? Okay, these guys are legends."
@SaltySage: "Mark's reluctance to join was so relatable. Poor guy. 😂"
@TrueBeliever: "I want in on the Bro Squad! Where do I sign up?"
@ChaosWitch: "Can't believe they actually made it official with fast food drinks. I'm crying!"
Alicarde smiled to himself, feeling a rare sense of satisfaction.
'Yay me, I finally got some dude friends and also got people to help us with our punishment for free,' he mused, happy that he had successfully trapped Liam, Marcus, and Mark into their shared punishment using a bit of clever dude talk.
'Carrisa is really rubbing off on me. Everything is going according to plan; that was actually easier than I thought it'd be.'
He mused happily, content with how his simple plan had worked and how he had finally managed to make some guy friends in college.
