"I think I can still help others here," she replied. "What's going on at the military headquarters? You've got a lot of injuries... It looks like you've been in a fierce battle with the monsters, haven't you?"
Despite everything, Ella couldn't help but show concern for Kean. From her perspective, his wounds must have been from fighting the monsters.
Kean smiled faintly.
"It's nothing," he said casually. "For

Upon hearing Ella's words, Kean let out a cold, bitter laugh.
"I don't care about Jeremy!" he snapped. "I'm not trying to push you away because of him! I just want you to be safe!"
His tone had turned icily sharp.
Ella didn't notice the change in his demeanor. She simply assumed that Kean was still angry with her.
So, she went on, still trying to reason with him.
"I hope you'll stop being upset. I can help you in battle. I know you're much stronger than I am, but facing so many monsters alone, you won't be able to win quickly."
As she spoke, Ella began moving closer to Kean.
At that point, Kean could no longer hold back his frustration.
With a cold glare, he said to Ella, "If that's how it is, don't blame me for being harsh."
Without another word, Kean quickly closed the distance between them. Without hesitation, he raised his weapon and attacked Ella.
