Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4092 Overboard?

Chapter 4092  Overboard?

Myria nodded in response to Davis's question.

Davis still remembered how he beat down Aric Stormsong and saved Aila and Fairy Mei Novara.

"Just the Stormsong Family alone kills hundreds of Divergents each century millennium. The Upper Realms are incredibly vast. You would not be able to imagine the number of Divergents popping up each year. However, they don't survive long because there are-"

"Exalts and Primarchs." Myria sent him a soul transmission before continuing with her lips, "Therefore, any Divergent who has a brain will try to descend to the Third Layer or get hunted down sooner or later. Without enough power in the Upper Realms, they can't survive the lesser powers, much less when they are found, and those monstrous cultivators kill them with a single breath. Forget those monstrous cultivators. Even a single Autarch is enough to hold the line in a region."

Davis nodded.

The World Master warned not to head to the Upper Realms, and if he had found himself there, he shouldn't waste time and should descend quickly. Shirley had gone through a trial in the Candidacy that frighteningly taught her the consequences of being followed by a statue of a Celestial Transcendent following her all the way until it killed her. Clearly, it was depicting the insane difficulty of surviving in the Upper Realms.

She also repeatedly told him not to venture to the Upper Realms.

"The Upper Realms are unimaginably vast. They are said to be a hundred times the size of Lower Realms! And there are only forty-eight Lower Realms in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy. Together, they do not make up even one Upper Realm, but there are sixteen of them! Even an Empyrean may not ever leave an Upper Realm in their lifetime if all they did was take care of family affairs and went for some adventuring."

Myria heaved a long breath.

Davis sucked in a cold breath. Where the hell would one be able to find a spatial node leading to the Third Layer below in that kind of vastness?

He guessed that's why the only ones descending are either the locals, geniuses, or the weak avatars of powerful experts. Only rich people would be capable of receiving news, quickly traveling, and having a chance to descend.

It seemed like those who came to kill him were also spending big money.

'I hope they still have loot left in their spatial rings…'

Davis was worried that they wouldn't have enough to give him after traveling so far!

Myria looked at Davis, who was making a worried expression and regretted uttering so many words. She thought she may have burdened him. After all, if the geniuses began to know that there was a wider and stronger world outside, not only would their confidence deflate and their arrogance decrease, but their Law Hearts would also be shaken.

Then, their cultivation might take a hit, and they might even be bedeviled.

If things were so difficult to attain, why bother? They might flip the table and lie down and enjoy a wastrel's life until they meet their death. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

That was why many people would be frogs in the well, unaware of even more powerful geniuses. The elders wouldn't bother to teach them. They would allow the youths to learn by themselves. After all, experience was the best teacher.

She knew it went for the same as her. She may know the limits of the supreme geniuses of the Upper Realms, but in the Greater Realm, things might be different. There was always a peak above a peak.

Still, she was no longer the old Myria. Even if the Greater Realm supreme geniuses were capable, she didn't think they could match Davis and her prowess. That would be ridiculous.

"Don't mind it. If we surpass the Empyrean Stage, we can survive better in the Upper Realms. As long as we have speed, others can forget about catching us. The Upper Realms are so big that not even the monstrous cultivators can catch up to us quickly. After all, it's isn't like they would be nearby, waiting and trying to ambush…"

Davis chuckled, "Why bother? We're not going to the Upper Realms anytime soon. There's the Covenant that restricts me from entering the Upper Realms for a hundred years, and even if it wasn't there, I won't leave until our children become capable here."

Myria's gaze flickered, "Do you think it's a better idea to leave the family here and guard them? After all, if we have enough power in the Lower Realms, nothing can threaten us, but in the Upper Realms, it would be quite difficult…"

Davis pressed his lips as though thinking before he uttered, "I don't know. We'll see when the time comes. It all comes down to risks and gains. We are cultivators, so I can't tell the others to waste their lives here. Even if I ascend alone, it isn't a given that I'll make it out alive. All I would be doing is making you all worry to death. The past week was really terrible for my heart from worrying about you."

"That has indeed taught you a lesson~" Myria teasingly glared at him.

She turned to look at Everlight, "Have you tested your powers yet?"

"Wuwu~"

Everlight shook her head with fox noises.

Myria turned to look back at Davis, and he pursed his lips.

"I know. I can allow Everlight to try on those folks, but let's first hear them out. If they want to leave, I won't stop them. More than their decision, I don't want the evolution to be here because their tribulations will be at the Empyrean Beast level."

"Davis, believe in your turtle friend. The species technique he used, Phantom Divination Veil, is powerful and wouldn't let any probes or divination point to here. As for the Empyrean Beast Tribulations, they're just normal tribulations. They wouldn't disrupt the karmic defenses we have placed here."

Myria advised, causing Davis to ponder for a few moments before he nodded his head.

"Alright. If our location is exposed, then it's exposed. I became hesitant since you went out of your way to build a karmic-illusion formation and succeeded in hiding Vereina's Destructive Heavenly Empyrean Tribulation, but if it's okay with you, let's go."

Davis punched at the empty air, causing Myria to smilingly shake her head.

"I only built that for Divergents. Otherwise, it wouldn't be cost-effective- the cost being your friend's life."

"Yeah," Davis became flabbergasted, "You all really went overboard this time, using a part of his body as the formation core. I need to reassure him, or he might feel like he's being used up and thrown away, even if we could heal him again and again."

"Andiron seemed prepared, but yes, it isn't good to push his sacrificial efforts away as they are nothing just because we could heal him. He really didn't complain a single time, not even a word."

Myria advised, causing Davis to feel gratified. His eyes weren't stupid to have chosen Andiron as one of his few sworn brothers. He really didn't see their life and death differently.

"His family is also my family. We'll get them back for him no matter what."

"Mhm~" Myria nodded.

"So..." Davis dragged his words as he looked away, "I'd had some strange ideas ever since Everlight evolved into the Elysian Jadesoul Fox. Would you be willing to hear it out?"
